Ear syringing – when should you?
As we get older, our hearing can start to suffer. However, it’s possible that there is an easy solution to your hearing loss; it might just be the result of a build up of ear wax in your ear canal.
Ear wax exists to protect the ear canal from bacteria and foreign bodies but occasionally it can build up and block the ear canal, leading to hearing loss. Other symptoms may include itchiness, some pain and a feeling of ‘fullness’ in the ear.
If you’re worried about your hearing, I can have a look in your ears and if there is a build-up of ear wax, I can use a special device to gently irrigate your ear by flushing it out with warm water. It’s not painful and very straightforward, and you should hear an immediate difference!
